Bern

After finishing my Germany tour, and after my finals, it was already time for visiting some other cities in some other/neighbour countries. However, this part of the trip I was going to travel alone. Not so exciting, isn’t it? Same here, but it wasn’t that bad. I always met friends in almost each city, so there was no problem by the means of company.

Heidelberg

Heidelberg was supposed to be the final stop for my trip in Germany. I’d heard a couple of times that it is definitely worth to see and visit. And the way from Bremen till Furtwangen (where I had lived in Germany) was quite far, probably like 12 hours or so, even though taking on account that the fastest trains are taken. So, that was the perfect oppurtunity for me to visit Heidelberg as a final stop.

Bremen

My final stop in the trip to all 3 city-states in Germany ended up in Bremen. In the Berlin Beach Camp, I met some guys, who were also making an exchange program in Bremen and in Dortmund. We exchanged our phone numbers and I already knew I was going to go to Bremen, so when I was in Hamburg we talked and set that meeting. I was going to arrive in Bremen on Friday afternoon and just wanted to stay overnight for one day.

Hamburg

Hamburg is one of the 3 cities in Germany which are also a state by themselves. I already visited Berlin for almost about a week. So I crossed that out of my list. In the very same trip, my next stop was Hamburg. I had already a place to stay overnight and a friend who will guide me throughout the city. We met in 2005 Summer, while we both were making our internship at the same company. She was born and grew up in Germany, so she is speaking the language very well and knows Hamburg by heart. She has been living in Hamburg, I guess for about 7, 8 years.

Berlin Beach Camp 07

I had been a member of HC (hospitalityclub.org) for almost about a year, but I had just hosted only one guest and never stayed with members before. But I had started getting the idea of these hospitality networks. Being an Erasmus student, getting to know lots of people from different cultures had helped a lot. Finally, my big mentour, Martin gave me the news about Berlin Beach Camp (24-28 May 2007). I had never stayed in a camp before neither. I thought that was my chance and decided to give it a shot. We had holidays for most of that time, so the college was not a problem. We just had to figure out how we were going to get there. The camp was in Berlin, meaning 1100km. away from where we were staying. Yeah, about a week before the camp, I even ordered a sleeping bag from Amazon for the camp. The transportation was really the only problem.

Mi Casa Ideal

This is the second text that is also written by one of my spanish speaking friends, Pablo Ganuza Vidal, from Spain. This was also for the preperation for the Spanish exam, but was a little bit complicated and slang or even vulgar, so I couldn’t write this one in the exam. However it is always nice to see some simple text -of course for Spanish speaking people in this case- and have a grin throughout the day. Let me just translate the title, so everyone will have an idea of what written is. “Mi casa ideal = My ideal home”.
