Firefox in China

Firefox eats IEChina is the second largest Internet market after USA with approx. 137 million users. And right now there are around 90 million Firefox users all around the world and just 1 million of these users are in China. Pretty low.

Internet Explorer 7 has been installed by more than 100 million people. This makes it, the second most used browser in US, being defeated by only its brother IE 6. Vista will surely affect these numbers in the positive manner.

These led Mozilla to open an office in China.

English Accent

English LanguageEnglish is now the language of science and also Internet. Most of the internet sites, most of the textbooks are designed and written English. The main reason is of course to reach maximum number of people possible.

Since, English so much popular, it is the most common foreign language all over the world. This of course leads to accents. Not all the languages have a lot in common, pronunciation, grammar, sometimes almost everything is nothing like the other one. Occasionally, people become curious about the other accents. If one is used to watch Hollywood movies, then just after seeing a British movie may wake him up and cause him to be curious, maybe willing to hear also the other accents. Certainly, this is a nice thing to do, getting acquainted also to the other accents but sometimes just a movie or some news or some sports games are just not enough. It is not that easy to reach all kind of accents whenever you want.

Where Are My Socks?

Funny GoogleEverybody, I believe, loses his socks and not for just one or two times, constantly. Well, if it’s not everybody, then maybe just me. The silly thing is you don’t lose them as pairs, generally single ones, which makes you even more aggressive and crazy.

So what does everybody do? Looking around a little bit, trying to remember the famous “where & when of last time seen” and so on. But none of these ways are successful, and people end up letting things go. Hopefully Google has some new techniques for us, helping us find our socks more easily.

That made me give a chance to the system. But I was always wondering; now maybe you can trust people & buy stuff as you like and of course pay first & wait for the item but back then, in 1990s, how could people trust “the others“, I mean, how did it begin?
